May 21, 2009The Soviet Union which is popularly known as USSR was an integration of many soviet republics. It comprised 15 soviet states. This was formed on the year 1922 after the Russian civil war.
As the name infers, it is a classic example of socialist rule and the whole world was amazed by the system and principles of the country. Lenin and Stalin were the people responsible for such an excellent network of socialism. He insisted economical growth and introduced 5 year plans on the year 1928. In the year 1933 a diplomatic relationship was established with US. Due to this the Soviet shared its supporting hands to the US and this partnership was prolonged till 1945. This country played an important role in the Second World War. In fact the historical event ‘Battle of Stalingrad’ was a masterpiece example for this statement.
The scenario changed quite drastically after 1945. The USSR developed as a leading super power in the world. It dominated the show in important events such as world economy, peace treaties, and military forces and even in sports. In short it was slowly rising to the elevation leveling US growths. This created a ‘Cold War’ situation between USA and USSR.
During the late 1980’s the economy of the USSR had a worst hit which lead to revolution in the states of USSR. This issue and few other abnormalities combined together to create a hazardous reaction. Due to this the USSR was dissolved in the year 1991.
